Indian Head Massage

The aim of Indian Head Massage is to release stress which has built up in tissues, muscles and joints of the shoulders, neck, head and face. It is based on the ayurvedic system of healing, which has been practiced in India for thousands of years.

It helps increase joint mobility and flexiblity of the neck and shoulders, improves blood circulation and lymph flow, frees muscular tension and aids in the removal of toxins. It is used in the reduction of stress and tension.

During a treatment the client is fully dressed and treated in a seated position. A range of movements including kneading and compression is used over the shoulders, neck and scalp, soft stroking movements are used over the face.

Clients typically have conditions such as, headaches, sinus congestion, tension, fatigue, migraines and insomnia. the treatment aims are relaxation and deep calm, revitalisation, better concentration and better energy.

Following a treatment some clients experience tiredness and dizziness, an increase in urination (due to removal of toxins) and muscle aches. these side effects tend to last no longer than a few hours.
